TEA LEAF HAVING HIGH CONTENT OF CATECHINS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject tea leaves desirable in a society with a high percentage of aged people, more effectively and safely drinkable without adverse effects, by making the tea leaves include catechins in a high weight ratio. ;SOLUTION: These tea leaves contains catechins in ≥15 wt.% weight ratio. The teat leaves are preferably cultivated under conditions of a temp. of 25-30°C, 70-90% humidity, and 8,000-12,000 lux illuminance. Only drinking of a small amount of 2.5-5 g of the tea leaves corresponds to a catechin amount by drinking of ordinary tea leaves and eliminates tea drinking in a large amount frequently. The dosage form of the tea leaves to be supplied may be an ordinary teat agent form or powder. The administration of the tea leaves will not impair a taste by a high catechin content.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
