PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance performance by providing a diagonally inwardly pointed water channel in a tapered surface on the outer periphery of the end of an inner tube, and providing a water channel leading to a recess between blades at the end of a bit. ;SOLUTION: An inner tube 28 is fitted into an outer tube 22 at the end of a material sampler and into a bit 41 to form a water channel 42, and a blade part 45 is provided at the end of the bit 41, with a circumferential recess 44 between them. Next, the outer peripheral surface of the end of the tube 28 is formed into a tapered surface 46 and communicated to the water channel 42, and a diagonally inwardly pointed water channel 47 is provided by the tapered face 46 and the tapered inner peripheral surface 49 of the bit 41, and a water outlet channel 48 leading to the recess 44 is provided on the part of the inner peripheral surface 49 near the recess 44. When the tube 22 and the bit 41 are rotated and driven into the ground, water force-fed to the blade 45 from the water channel 42 by a pump is ejected outwards and hardly enters the tube 28 because the water channel 48 is located near the recess 44, and so the water does not disturb nor force away materials in the tube 28.
