STEP OUT DETECTING DEVICE FOR STEPPING MOTOR AND IMAGE FORMING DEVICE USING STEPPING MOTOR PROVIDED WITH STEP OUT DETECTING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an step out detecting device which can immediately detect the step out of a stepping motor, when the motor steps out and an image forming device using a stepping motor provided with this step out detecting device. ;SOLUTION: When a stepping motor 401 is controlled to a constant-current state by means of a constant-current driver 400, an step out detecting device converts the current flowing to the motor 401 into a voltage by means of a current detecting resistor 402, detects the frequency component of the current by means of an F/V converter 403, ORs the frequency components of the current when the motor 401 is normally operated, and when the motor 401 steps out by means of an OR circuit 406 by comparing the frequency components with each other by means of comparators 404 and 405, and discriminates whether or not the motor 401 is out of step from the output value of the OR circuit 406 by means of a CPU 407. An image forming device uses the stepping motor 401 provided with the step out detecting device for a paper feeding roller which feeds recording paper to an image forming section.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
