PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a base sequence of thecoma-forming gene groups of Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, that has a specific base sequence, can develop vaccine strain causing no onset of the disease and is useful in specified and prompt differentiation of Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae. ;SOLUTION: This thecoma-forming gene has a base sequence represented by the formula. In a preferred embodiment, the attenuated strain of the Erysipelothrix rhusiophathiae is prepared by inactivating the thecoma-forming gene group on the chromosome of the Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae. In addition, the Erysipelothrix rhusiophathiae is differentiated by utilizing the base sequence of the thecoma-forming gene groups. Further, this base sequence is incorporated into foreign genes as the gene of other microorganisms or the gene of physiological substance to prepare a vector that can add other immune effects against other diseases.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
