PURPOSE:To provide a head separation type CCD camera with which the length of a camera cable is never limited by correcting automatically the shift of phases due to the delay caused by the camera cable between a video data signal and a signal processing pulse. CONSTITUTION:A signal processing part 20 includes a video signal processing means 25, a reference signal generator means 23 which outputs a signal processing pulse and a synchronizing reference signal, a control signal generator means 27 which outputs a head synchronizing signal and a timing detection signal based on the synchronizing reference signal, a phase control means 31 which delays and controls the phase of the head synchronizing signal and sends this controlled signal to a camera head part 11, and a pixel control means 61 which outputs a delay decision signal to the means 27 to change and delay the output of the head synchronizing signal for each clock. Meanwhile the part 11 outputs a video timing signal to show the CCD output signal and its output timing.
