PURPOSE:To make a measuring device simple by scanning two-dimensionally a biopolymer crystallization process. CONSTITUTION:A biopolymer solution and a crystallization agent are charged a crystallization cell. A beam of ultraviolet light is emitted on the said crystallization cell from an ultraviolet light source. The beam of ultraviolet light transmitted by the said crystallization cell is two-dimensionally scanned by a linear sensor and the transmitted light quantity is detected.
