PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out sterilizing processing in an extremely short time by sealing an intraocular lens formed of a cross-linked polymer in a housing body which can pass an electron beam but into which bacteria cannot invade, and performing sterilizing processing by irradiation of an electron beam. ;SOLUTION: A cross-linked polymer is formed of a cross-linked polymer or a cross-linked copolymer obtained by a polymerized material such as acrylate and methacrylate. A sterilizing dosage of an electron beam is 10 to 80 kGy, and about 15 to 70 kGy is mainly adopted. In lens coloring generated by excitation of an ultraviolet ray absorbent or the like, color restoring processing composed of processing by energy selected from a group composed of heat, the light, a high frequency and a combination of these is desirably performed after the electron beam irradiation. The processing using the energy is performed by heating an intraocular lens housed in a prescribed housing body in a temperature range not less than 30°C and less than a thermal deformation temperature of the intraocular lens, desirably, at a temperature lower by about 10°C than such a s thermal deformation temperature.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
