PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a primary backing fabric for a tufted carpet, producible as the one having a high strength thereof and a strong holding force of piles at a low cost and responsive to various specifications of tufted carpet products. ;SOLUTION: This primary backing fabric for a tufted carpet is obtained by superposing a woven cloth 1 composed by using flat yarns molded from a thermoplastic resin as warp and weft yarns on an expanded sheet material 2 having 10-50kg/m³ density and 1-10mm thickness and joining and integrating the woven cloth 1 with the expanded sheet material 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
