PURPOSE: To attain the real-time emulation of a flag that changes asynchronously with the program processing by outputting the status flags contained in the peripheral circuits via the external terminals. ;CONSTITUTION: The peripheral status flags are outputted to the outside via the external terminals 160 and 170 and based on a status clock signal 152 that is supplied from an emulation control circuit 150. A new emulation chip 100 has the peripheral circuits 130 and 140 which are different from conventional ones. In other words, the circuit 150, the terminals 160 and 170, the signal 152, and the status signals 151 and 153 are added to a conventional emulation Chip. Then the signal 153 which applied time time division to the data on plural peripheral status flags and the signal 152 which shows the data on one of peripheral status flags that is being outputted are transmitted via both 170 and 160 respectively.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
