PURPOSE: To easily and speedily change the reception channel of a satellite receiver to be operated by a frequency division multiplex digital system. ;CONSTITUTION: On the transmission side, all channel station selection data containing information required for the station selection of all channels under transmitting at present read from an all channel station selection data register 12 are multiplexed to the digital compressed data of video data/audio data due to a digital converter/data compressor 11 and transmitted from a multiplex data transmission circuit 14 through a satellite up link (b). On the reception side, the multiplex transmitted signals inputted through a satellite down link (c) are demodulated by a demodulator 23 and demultiplexed by a demultiplexer 24, station selection data (h) are stored in a microcomputer, and digital video/ sound data (i) are decoded, D/A converted and outputted as analog signals. A microcomputer 25 supplies a transponder number/channel number (j) based on channel switching information (m) to a tuner part 22, supplies video compression mode data (f) to a demodulator 23 and a decoder 26 and switches the reception channel through one action.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
