PURPOSE: To provide the zinc-aluminum alloy plated iron and steel wire materials having high corrosion resistance and high fatigue strength in combination and the process which can industrially and exactly produce the zinc- aluminum alloy plated iron and steel wire materials having the high corrosion resistance and high fatigue strength in combination. ;CONSTITUTION: The alloy plating consists of the compsn. having 4 to 6% aluminum concn. not inclusive of 5.0+0.2% and consist of dendrite primary crystals and the structure in which the gaps among the dendrite primary crystals are filled with pearlite structures progressed in granulation. The iron and steel wire materials are subjected to a pretreatment and is then passed at 20 to 45m/min line speed in a zinc-aluminum alloy plating bath of the compsn. having 4 to 6% aluminum concn. not inclusive of 5.0+0.2%. The plating is squeezed over the bath with a nonoxidative atmosphere as a sealing gas and thereafter, the plating layer is solidified and cooled by acting 40 to 60°C cooling water thereon.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
