The electromagnetic shielding construction method by carbon fiber felt and electromagnetic shielding for carbon fiber felt

PURPOSE: To provide carbon fiber felt for shielding electromagnetic waves which can be easily fitted and can be easily handled by preventing the scattering of carbon fibers and a method for constructing an electromagnetic shield by using the felt. ;CONSTITUTION: A mat 14 having a thickness of about 7mm is formed by entwining carbon fibers in a curled state. Then carbon fiber felt 10 for shielding is constituted in a panel-like state by impregnating both surfaces or one surface of the mat 14 with a synthetic resin 16. The felt 10 formed in a panel-like state is cut into rectangular pieces of a prescribed size and the walls, floor, and ceiling of a room to be shielded are coated with the felt 10 by successively sticking the cut pieces to the inside of a light steel base material 18 constituting the skeleton of the room. Gaps between adjacent pieces of the felt 10 are filled up with a string-like member 20 of carbon fibers.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
