PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce overcompression sharply by connecting a bypass passage provided with a check valve for allowing to circulate refrigerant gas from a compression chamber side into a discharging side to a position where the pressure ratio of a compression chamber of a scroll compressor exceeds a specified value. ;SOLUTION: In an air conditioner used a compressor for controlling rotational speed, an operating condition such that the value of an operation pressure ratio/setting pressure ratio is 0.5 to 0.75 covers 85% of a year, the frequency of such operating condition is very much. A bypass hole is arranged on a position where the compression ratio of the compression chamber exceeds 0.5 to 0.75 of a setting pressure ratio, and thereby, overcompression can be sharply reduced in an operation condition having highest frequency.
