Dyeing method with the use of guar gum in the composition of the unnecessary rinse dyeing keratin fibers

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a non-rinsed composition containing a direct dye, etc., and cationic group-modified guar gum as a thickening agent, useful for dyeing keratin fibers, esp. the human hair, affording the fibers with glints and soft feel of touch, and favorable in color tone. ;SOLUTION: This composition comprises a direct dye and/or pigment and/or oxidative dye precursor and, as thickening agent, guar gum modified with pref. 5-20 wt.% of cationic group and/or nonionic guar gum, being intended for the direct or oxidative dyeing of human keratin fibers such as the hair. The nonionic guar gum is pref. one modified with 1-6C hydroxyalkyl group which is pref. hydroxymethyl, hydroxyethyl, hydroxypropyl or hydroxybutyl group.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
