摘要

PURPOSE: To effectively inhibit the growth of a calcium carbonate crystal in a detergent composition or the like by adding an effective amount of an N,N- dicarboxymethyl-2-aminopentane-1,5-dioic acid to a medium which permits the growth of a CaCO₃ crystal. ;CONSTITUTION: A surfactant such as a linear alkylbenzenesulfonate or ethoxylated lauric acid, a builder such as zeolite, anhydrous sodium carbonate or sodium silicate, a bleaching agent such as sodium perborate are added to water, and the mixture is agitated. To this an effective amount of an N,N- dicarboxymethyl-2-aminopentane-1,5-dioic acid or a salt thereof as an additive is added to prepare a detergent composition. Next, this detergent composition is packed into a cleaning bath, and e.g. a dish is cleaned in this cleaning bath to practice a cleaning operation at good efficiency by preventing or inhibiting the growth of CaCO₃ crystal in a medium permitting the growth of CaCO₃ crystal.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
