PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce costs by a method wherein when one door of any one of a plurality of cooling chambers is opened, a common preheating starter provided for a fluorescent lamp of each of the cooling chambers is connected to one of the fluorescent lamps to control a switching means, whereby each fluorescent lamp can be preheated using one starter. ;SOLUTION: As for fluorescent lamps of a refrigerator, power sources 1, 11 and ballast resistors 3, 13 are connected in series to a refrigeration chamber fluorescent lamp 10 and freezing chamber fluorescent lamp 20, respectively, and the power sources 1, 11 are disconnected and connected by first and second switches 41, 42, respectively. And a starter 25 connected to the lamps 10, 20 to preheat both the lamps 10, 20 is disconnected and connected by a third switch 43. That is, when the switch 43 is connected to a first terminal 9 and the first switch is set to ON, both filaments 7, 8 are preheated so that the lamp 10 is turned on.
