PURPOSE: To provide a lifesaving buoy and also to reflect the sun light to generate the signal asking for a salvage for a long time continuously by providing a buoyancy polygonal pole body equipped with the sun light reflecting surfaces having a desired length of a side and a buoyancy body in its inside, and installing a steering wheel to the end face of the pole body. ;CONSTITUTION: A buoyancy polygonal pole 1 consists of a polygonal tube main body and lid boards, and the polygonal tube main body is made for a octagonal tube form using stainless steel boards with suitable thickness and having sun light reflecting surfaces 11 whose vertical and horizontal side having the length of several decimeter. Polygonal tubes of expandable styrene conformed to the surface of the inner diameter of the polygonal tube main body are arranged in the inside of the octagonal tube, and the lid boards is formed using stainless steel board with suitable thickness. A steering wheel stick whose one end is folded and bended to form to the steering wheel 7 and a washer 10 are fitted and installed at the center of each lid board. When this is suspended at the upper part of a mast in a shipwreck, the sun light is reflected in all the directions so far as the sun is appearing in the daytime and the probability of discovery is raised remarkably.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
