PURPOSE:To smoothly pass a foreign material such as stone through a treating machine and to prevent the breakage of the machine by making a chain having wave protrusion to be rotatable outward and a chain cover to be retreatable outward. CONSTITUTION:A pair of chains 10 having wave protrusions 9 are circulated to form endless loops in such a manner as to move the opposite parts of the chains upward in right and left planes inclined to raise the rear parts. The wave protrusions are intermeshed with each other and the rotary orbit of the starting end is set to be integrated with the rotary orbit of the rear part of the protrusion 7 of a raking apparatus. A chain guide 38 for contacting with the chain 10 to keep a correct orbit of the chain is placed at the upward rotating part of the chain in a state retreatable outward.
