A process for producing an oxygen gas stream, an oxygen enriched gas stream, or a reaction product stream such as a permeate stream and a retained gas stream with decreased oxygen content by first separating oxygen from a gas stream supply and then cooling at least the permeate stream. The production and cooling of the permeate stream takes place within a single apparatus having at least one ion transport membrane.
