The Slopelock system prevents unnecessary backward trailing (backward movement)of the vehicle when vehicle is climbing on inclined road from zero speed. Slopelock is the system which is fitted between the clutch system and gear-box of the automobile. The System consists of Ratchette-paul arrangement which allows only one direction of rotation to the shaft. The Slopelock gets locked when vehicle starts trailing backward while it is on inclined road. The system consists of governers which starts acting when shaft is rotating in desired direction. The governers avoid unnecessary friction of Ratchette-paul mechanism.The governers work on the principle of centrifugal force.
