In the present invention there is disclosed a lightweight structural element having the form of a panel, intended particularly for construction of buildings and containing a load-bearing structure. The suggested lightweight structural element is formed by at least two supporting bars (1) being at their ends coupled with each other by transverse beams. Surfaces of the supporting bars (1) are interconnected by an adhesive jacket (2) made of material with thickness 0.5 to 5 mm. A core (5) can be placed between the supporting bars (1). When constructing a building from these lightweight structural elements, a layer of material identical with material of the jacket is applied to the bars and/or jacket of at least two adjacent elements; optionally a layer of another material is applied to at least two adjacent elements.
