The invention refers to a rotating mechanism for the drill of pneumatic perforation machines used in mining or constructions. The rotation mechanism for the drill of pneumatic perforation machines which achieves the driving of the drill holder consists of a pneumatic motor [A] provided with a piston [1] with a bar [2] at both ends. In the piston [1] there is an axial channel [b] in stages, which communicates with lateral orifices [c and d] between which there is a flange [3] provided with an annular channel [e]. Lateral orifices [c and d] are obturated or opened alternatively, working out of step, by a distributor bushing [4] that floats in the axial channel [b]. The piston [1] is displaced in the cylindrical chamber [a] provided with external orifices [f] which communicate with the atmosphere and peripheral channels [g, h and i] which communicate with a slide valve [B]. The displacement of piston [1] starts the movement of a mechanism with latches [C] which drives the drill-supporting bushing [15]
