摘要
The invention refers to a variety of garlic (Allium sativum L.), named Ludar, obtained through the inter- and intraclonal selection method, recommended for cultivation in the southern and south-eastern regions of the country, intended for consumption raw or processed and for the pharmaceutical industry. The plant has a semi-erect posture, with green-blue pruinose leaves . The bulb is white, weighing between 40 and 60 g and contains 15 - 21 bulbils, weighing 3 ... 5g, curved, with a blunt tip and purplish - reddish in colour (the tunics). It is an early variety, highly resistant to viruses and nematodes, qualities owed to the regeneration and viral elimination of the biologic material through meristem cultures. It has a high production capacity of over 16 t/ha. The shape and colour of the bulbs and their uniformity make it commercially appealling. The plant has a high preserving capacity after the harvesting, therefore it can be used throughout the year, both on the domestic and the foreign markets.
