A process for the production of oxygen to feed a system for power generation combined cycle gasifier integrated at a rate corresponding to the power demand of energy production integrated during demand periods gasifier combined cycle peak while the peak efficiency is maintained when the generating system and power gasifier combined cycle integrated operates production variable energy comprising cryogenic distillation air separation unit air comprising distillation means (5), means heat exchange (8) and a single storage tank cold liquid oxygen (21); wherein during reduction of energy demand from the system gasifier combined cycle integrated with respect to its production demand nominal energy, liquid oxygen is produced in excess over that required by the system gasifier combined cycle integrated and such excess liquid oxygen is collected and stored in cold storage tank of liquid oxygen (21) of said air separation unit; and wherein during an increase in demand for energy from the combined cycle system integrated gasifier relative to its demand for producing nominal power in an operation mode (i) excess liquid oxygen is withdrawn from the reservoir cold storage of liquid oxygen (21) and vaporized at elevated pressure by a pump liquid oxygen (31) and a vaporizer (33), and in another operation mode (ii) excess liquid oxygen is withdrawn from the reservoir cold storage of liquid oxygen (21) and combined with liquid oxygen from the distillation means (5) that is not in excess and vaporized at elevated pressure in indirect heat exchange with the air produced by cryogenic distillation.
