A holding and transporting device, in particular for sports equipment, such as skis, snowboards, surfing boards, windsurfing boards or the like, has a housing that can be mounted on or integrated into the sports equipment or the like. A winding bobbin for at least one holding and transporting band that can be drawn through an opening of the housing is rotatively mounted and stressed by a spring against its unwinding direction. The winding bobbin is secured against rotation to an outer ring (4) which coaxially surrounds it and is prestressed by a spring in relation to the housing (3) to retain the winding bobbin against unwinding. The opening (5) through which the holding and transport band (1) is drawn is located in the area of the housing between the winding bobbin and the outer ring (4).
