A plug body (1) for vacuum specimen sampling container excellent in productivity, maintainability of the degree of decompression in a specimen sampling container, needle tube penetrating capability, and needle hole sealing performance and fitted airtight detachably to the opening end of the specimen sampling container so that the specimen sampling container can be maintained under decompressed condition, comprising a holding part (2), a needle tube penetrating part (3) having a rubber elasticity and installed so that it fills up a through-hole (2c) in the holding part (2), and a rubberlike elastic fitting part (4) fitted airtight to an opening end according to the inner surface form of the opening end of the specimen sampling container, the holding part (2) having a rigidity higher than the needle tube penetrating part (3) and the fitting part (4) and at least one projected part (2e) or a recessed part for the prevention of kickback is provided on the internal surface (2d) of an annular side wall part (2a) of the holding part (2).
