Systems and methods for managing geographical data structures. Anadministrator system (11) identifies geographic data structures (12) deemed tobe of interest to an organization. Associated reference information (22) iscompiled which includes retrieval addresses and display information. Theadministrator can establish relationships between the referenced geographicdata structures (12), tabular data (14), or other data (18), which defines themanner to display the multiple data structures. These relationships can beexpressed in geographic themes that specify geographic and tabular datastructures that can be displayed by an associated application (18). Any usersystem (21) selects geographic information of interest to the user. A userapplication (20) receives the address information and display information froman administrator application (10) and establishes communication to retrievethe relevant geographic data structures. Using the display information theuser application displays the relevant geographic data structures. Users withaccess credentials assigned by the administrator may edit displayed data.
