The invention relates to a recognition system for searching for and recognizing data models which correspond to a predefined extent with a predefined data model. Said system comprises at least one first portable electronic apparatus having a display unit, a storage unit in which the predefined data model can be stored, and a wireless transmitting and receiving device, which transmits the predefined data model and actuates the display unit on receipt of a correspondence signal, and at least one second electronic apparatus having a storage unit in which a further data model can be stored, a wireless transmitting and receiving device, as well as a comparator which, on receipt of the predefined data model transmitted by the first apparatus compares said data model with the other data model and triggers the transmission of the correspondence signal if both data models correspond to the predefined extent.
