METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TRANSFERRING OF AN OFFSHORE PLATFORM TOPSIDES FROM A SEABED FIXED SUBSTRUCTURE TO A FLOATING TRANSPORTER

In a method for transfer of an offshore platform topsides (3) from a substructure (2) fixed to the seabed to a floating transporter (1), where the transporter is lowered by means of ballasting and moved in under the platform topsides (3), whereupon the transporter is deballasted so that it is raised and lifts the topsides from the substructure, where the transporter (1) comprises an oblong, ballastable structure, comprising two long sides (24) and an intermediate recess (26) which has an opening (27) in one of the transporter's ends and can accommodate the substructure (2) when the transporter (1) is located with the recess (26) horizontally down in the water, there is employed a front cross beam (28) which extends between the long sides (24) above the recess's opening (27), longitudinal beams (30, 30') which are attached to the transporter (1) above the recess (26) and lifting beams (31, 31') for the topsides (3), supported by the longitudinal beams (30, 30').
