A jacquard shadow velour comprising binding warp threads, tension warp threads, weft threads, pile naps in an m/n-W-pile through weave (with nm and n3) and lying colored pile areas. A number of the binding warp threads are of colored design and are floatingly tied in on an upper side of the jacquard shadow velour provided with the pile naps, for providing on this side a color pattern that is dependent on the color of each of the binding warp threads of the number of binding warp threads.
