The present invention relates to a recombinant thermostable tryptophanase A and B, a process for producing the same, and a process for producing L-tryptophan using the same. Using the recombinant tryptophanase thus produced, L-tryptophan, a precursor of neurotransmitter from pyruvic acid and indole, can be produced inexpensively with high yield.
