The present invention provides a method capable of successively measuring the concentrations of carbon, hydrogen, and nitrogen in molten steel with a single device, and providing a measurement method for trace carbon that specializes in trace carbon measurement with the principle of the concentration measurement. And an apparatus incorporating these methods.;According to the present invention, a carrier gas selected according to an element to be measured in molten steel is blown into the molten steel and bubbled, and a carrier gas containing a measurement target element recovered from the molten steel is circulated or passed through the gas circulation circuit. After the concentration of the element to be measured in the gas is balanced with the concentration of each element in the molten steel, or close to the equilibrium state, the concentration of the specific element in the carrier gas is measured by the specific element concentration measuring means, and the measurement is performed on the multiple elements. In this case, the measured carrier gas is discharged out of the circulation circuit system, the carrier gas is newly changed, and the above-described procedure is repeated for other unmeasured elements.
