The hurdle comprises a vertical leg (1) on a base (2) on each side of the track lane and a crossbar (3) on arms (4) hinged to pivots (3) at the top of the legs. Front and rear thrust surfaces (6, 7) on the upper ends of the legs fix the arms in two different positions at 90 degrees to one another and set the crossbar at two different heights.
