Delay Cells for High-Speed Low-Noise Ring Oscillators

The present invention relates to a delay cell for a high speed low noise ring oscillator, and more particularly, to a unit delay cell of a voltage controlled oscillator having a ring structure. This purpose is to implement a high speed low noise delay cell circuit used in a ring oscillator. Its feature is that it consists of a differential amplifier including voltage clamping means at the input stage to limit the output swing. Therefore, the delay cell of the present invention is well suited for applications such as clock recovery circuits or clock synchronization fields of microprocessors.
