Single-Ended and Low Supply Voltage Magnetoresistive Preamplifier Circuit with High Input Impedance

The present invention relates to a preamplifier circuit for a magnetoresistive (MR) device that has a high input impedance to the MR resistor and is not sensitive to the series input inductance of the leads required for the final system to connect the MR device to the amplifier. In conventional preamplifiers, almost all amplifiers are of low impedance type (using biCMOS or bipolar technology) or differential (using bipolar technology). The present invention satisfies the needs of the prior art by providing a single-ended SE preamplifier using biCMOS with high input impedance.
