The present invention relates to a screen separation device for separating a microorganism immobilization carrier (5) used in an aeration tank (1) for biologically purifying organic and inorganic substances in wastewater. It is a carrier separation screen device which can reliably prevent screen clogging by providing a sieve 20 and providing a diffuser device 8 below and near the carrier separation screen. In addition, there is provided a method and device for dispersing a carrier separation screen which prevents screen clogging by providing an air header and a control device for the air amount over time. The present invention also relates to a wastewater treatment method and apparatus for generating a circulation flow in a tank to uniformly disperse a screen for separating a carrier, thereby preventing screen closure and sufficiently achieving a function of a microorganism immobilized carrier.
