The present invention relates to a method of simultaneously using a specific water-soluble polymer in industrial water in the presence of ozone such as scale control, corrosion control and microbial control.;Preferred polymers for use with ozone are homopolymers and copolymers containing at least 50 mol% acrylic or methacrylic acid, mixtures thereof. Certain other monomers may be used with acrylic and methacrylic acid monomers, which act as scale inhibitors and corrosion inhibitors in industrial water in the presence of ozone. Industrial water is especially recycled cooling water.
