FIELD: measurement of angular velocity and of angle of rotation in navigation and control systems of moving objects. SUBSTANCE: optical gyroscope incorporates light source, first beam splitter, second beam splitter, Fabry-Perot ring resonator, third beam splitter, reflector placed in sequence and coupled optically. System recording legitimate signal includes photodetector optically coupled to first beam splitter. Reflector is mounted for control over frequency of reflected light and is so oriented that light reflected from it changes its direction to opposite one. Second and third beam splitters are inserted into ring resonator. Usage of light source which spectrum band includes many resonance lines of ring resonator leads to decreased drift of output signal and increased sensitivity. EFFECT: decreased drift of output signal and increased sensitivity of gyroscope. 1 cl, 3 dwg
