DEVICE FOR CONVERGING OF EDGES OF WOUND OF LIMB AMPUTATION STUMP

FIELD: surgery; traumatology. SUBSTANCE: device has supporting members with limiters of tissues and slots for introduction of antiseptics or draining of wounds and converging and fixing mechanism. The latter is made of two half-rings loosely connected with their ends. Threaded stud and arc-shaped plate with middle slot are secured in middle of half-rings. Each half-ring is provided with threaded holes, and supporting members are manufactured in form of clamps with ends bent at angle of 90 dwg. in different directions. Opposite ends of supporting members have hole for fastening to half-rings. As a result, device provides for optimal conditions of healing of limb amputation stump wound by uniform converging of its ends on background of ischemia and high hazard of infectious complications. In addition, use of device in surgical practice makes it possible to reduce post-operative bed-day by 25 per cent. EFFECT: reduced number of stump diseases and defects, good cosmetic effect. 2 dwg
