DEVICE FOR SIMULTANEOUS DETECTION OF SEVERAL EXPLOSIVE MATERIALS AND DRUGS IN LUGGAGE

FIELD: nuclear quadrupole resonance engineering; controlling luggage in transit where transportation of explosive materials and drugs is prohibited. SUBSTANCE: device has standard-frequency unit, sink and store, nuclear quadrupole resonance frequency synthesizers unit incorporating as many synthesizers as there are materials to be detected, and adjustable switch whose input is connected to outputs of nuclear quadrupole resonance frequency synthesizers. Device also has pulse train generator whose output is connected to second input of switch. The latter functions to convert signals arriving from amplifier into pulse trains each including radio-frequency fills of all frequencies produced by nuclear quadrupole resonance frequency synthesizers. EFFECT: improved probability of detection of explosive materials and drugs and, hence, improved capacity of device. 1 dwg
