FIELD: road-building industry. SUBSTANCE: arrangement of separate grade crossing can be used in building new and reconstruction of existing crossing units of motor roads at different levels primarily in urban conditions. Separate grade crossing has intercrossing above-lying motor road and lower-lying motor road, and also overpass in above-lying motor road at center of crossing. Crossing creates four sectors in plan, each containing curvilinear left-turn loop-like departure ramp and right-turn departure ramp which both adjoining motor roads. Separate grade crossing is provided with directed departure ramp leading from above-lying motor road to lower-lying motor road. At least part of left-turn directed departure ramp is made in the form of overpass of variable curvature in plan and profile at least along axial line of departure ramp. Right-turn departure ramp and left-turn directed departure ramp are made with common zone of diverging. Left-turn directed departure ramp within sector located in zone of diverging passes in plan between right-turn loop-like departure ramp and left-turn loop-like departure ramp of sector and successively goes above lower-lying motor road, above left-turn loop-like departure ramp of adjacent sector located at other side of lower-lying motor road, above upper-lying motor road and left-turn loop-like departure ramp which is located in zone of converging directed departure ramp towards lower-lying motor road. Within zone, directed departure ramp converges with right-turn departure ramp thus creating common carriage way. Application of aforesaid arrangement of separate grade crossing of motor roads allows for redistribution of traffic flows, preventing traffic jams in motor roads, increasing traffic capacity together with upgrading safety travel conditions.
