The inner construction system of switching cabinets which at least in the corner regions are equipped with vertically running primary series of holes (2) for fastening internal components, has: system rails (4) that can be assembled in the depth direction in the sides of the cubicle (1) on which mounting parts which can be assembled for switching apparatus, especially for circuit breakers (5), and/or busbar carriers (6) can be mounted and/or separating elements to divide up the inside of the cubicle into single functional chambers, like the switching chamber, the busbar chamber, the measuring apparatus chamber and the cable connection chamber. As mounting parts, two cassettes (7) are mounted in parallel at a distance of the length of the switching apparatuses to be accommodated between two opposite system rails. The cassettes have a length that is a multiple of the width of the apparatuses to be accommodated.
