Absorption assembly to separate e.g. atmospheric oxygen and nitrogen

An absorption assembly separates especially atmospheric oxygen and nitrogen and has a vessel with a chamber holding an adsorption material with gas connections on opposite sides of the chamber (5). The absorption chamber (5) is horizontally sub-divided into two (7, 8), through which gases flow in opposite directions. The chamber (1) has gas pipe connections (2, 3, 4) at opposite ends and between the chambers (7, 8). The gas pipe (4) between the two chambers (7, 8) is a gas outlet, while the other two gas pipes (2, 3) are gas inlets to the absorption phase. Gas is collected from within the absorption tanks via a collector pipe system (6) which feeds the main outlet (4).
