Image characteristic analysis and layer data evaluation for computer tomography

The method involves using a reference object (1), which is formed of materials with an imaging behavior equivalent to a human bone and soft tissue, to simulate human bone and soft tissue, for the reconstruction of bone structures from the layer data produced by computer tomography. The reference object is preferably moved through the computer tomograph at the same time as or directly after the patient. An Independent claim is also given for a device for carrying out the method.
