Iron oxide yellow pigments, process for the preparation of iron oxide yellow pigments and their use

Iron oxide yellow pigments of specific lightness, contain less than 40 mg chromium (Cr)/kg pigment, and 0.05 - 0.3 wt.% chloride (Cl) and 0.007-0.055 wt.% manganese (Mn), both with respect to the pigment. The iron oxide pigments (I) have lightness (L asterisk ) = 62.0-64.0 and values of (a asterisk ) = 8.5-10.5 and (b asterisk ) = 48.5-50.5 in the pure tone, and (L asterisk ) = 81.6-82.5, (a asterisk ) = 3.8-4.8 and (b asterisk ) = 37.5-39.5 in a lightened tone, all in CIELAB units. An Independent claim is also included for the preparation of pigments (I).
