The arrangement has a comparator (3) with two inputs (4,5) and an output (7). A first function (U1+U2) of the detector output signals is applied to the first comparator input. A second function (U2) is applied to the second input. A switchable filter (1,2) with predefined time characteristics is connected to at least one comparator input causes a time change of at least one input signal on being switched over by a switch. An evaluation device (9,10) derives the illumination position from the time characteristics of comparator output signal when the switch switches over. An Independent claim is also included for a reflected light sensor for computing an object distance parameter using the arrangement.
