Radioactive nuclear power plant fittings are disposed of by in-situ encapsulation with a liquid molding material and cutting up for supply to sorting and packaging operations. Radioactive nuclear power plant fittings are disposed of by encapsulating unstable fittings, e.g. tube bundles or pipe systems, (4) with a liquid molding material (5), e.g. resin, plastics etc. within an internal container in a reactor pressure vessel and, after setting of the molding material, cutting up by turning, milling etc. for supplying by a suction unit to sorting and packaging operations.
