The invention relates to a method for producing an infrared lightguide, an infrared lightguide and an infrared radiation thermometer with such a lightguide. According to the method provided for in the invention an infrared lightguide is produced by coating an even substrate with a layer having high reflectivity in the infrared range and then shaping the coated substrate into a small tube.
