The decoration lighting device is found in a central unit (light generator) which feeds light into a light-conducting bundle of fibers or into a light chain. The central light unit (light generator) forms part of a christmas tree stand or another supporting device. The light exit is provided near the stem of the christmas tree. The light from the light generator can be fed into an optic fiber bundle in glass or plastic. The light exit elements are guided in parallel fashion and open out into a common end into which the light generator feeds light.
