Computer-aided intra-operative anatomical object visualization method used during complex brain surgery

The visualization method provides a three-dimensional image of a required anatomical object (8) during surgery. It uses an imaging device (1), e.g. an X-ray device, to provide images of an anatomical object from different positions, with measurement or calculation of the relative position and orientation of the images, which are compared with preoperative images. It shows the position of the anatomical object relative to at least one surgical instrument (7). An Independent claim for a device for intra-operative visualization of an anatomical object is also provided.
